The term turbo diesel refers to a turbo device used in a diesel engine. Hence, in other words a turbo diesel engine can also be referred to as a Diesel Turbo engine. The concept of a turbo diesel engine dates back to much later after the actual invention of the turbo itself. It was during the Second World War, when developments were made upon application of turbo. Consequently the concept of turbo was extended to diesel engines. It was during the period of 1940s and 1950s when the first turbo diesel engine appeared in diesel locomotives.
The Diesel Turbo engines operate on the idea of forced induction phenomenon. Such a phenomenon makes a large quantity of air to forcefully pump into the diesel engine. A high amount of air consequently results in increased combustion of the diesel molecule. This actually happens due to reaction of more air molecules with a single diesel molecule. Now, as the reaction becomes more vigorous, the net efficiency of the engine increases thereby improving the normal operation of the automobile.
Most recently, a major modification has been made to the concept of Diesel Turbo engines. Such a modification involves implementation of cylinder-direct fuel injection phenomenon upon the working of a turbocharger. In other words, the concept has been termed as Turbocharged Direct Injection. The process involves spraying of atomized diesel directly into the engine’s combustion chamber which would ultimately lead to greater efficiency and power output of the engine. The prime advantage of a turbo diesel engine is that it reduces emissions, thereby proving it to be absolutely environmental friendly.

If you like having a motorcycle, whether it’s a street bike, Harley hog or dirt bike, it’s in your best interest to provide durable outdoor protection from foul weather and other hazards. Not every motorcycle owner has the luxury of the garage to keep their bike during rain, winter and intensely hot days. And when they are doing have a garage often a vehicle is given a priority when it comes to shelter. To make sure your motorcycle is in top condition get a poly tarp, motorcycle pocket or motorcycle bag to help keep it protected from rain, intense UV sunlight, snow and wind.
Due to the design of motorcycles it leaves the bike at risk from foul weather. With exposed pipes, engines and instrument gauges a motorcycle can be simply damaged in strong winds, heavy rain, snow along with other outdoor hazards. Rain is easily the most common hazard and also to keep the bike safe consider covering it at night or throughout the day with a heavy duty poly tarp, outdoor portable garage or carport.
Depending on your budget you have a number of choices for protecting a motorcycle from rain. The most economical is a simple poly tarp. Produced from high quality polyethylene fabric materials an industrial grade poly tarp can offer sound protection for a motor cycle when a storm rolls in. However, poly tarps would be best as temporary shelters and really should ‘t be trusted to completely protect a motorbike via a winter months or long rain period.
A better option for long-term bike storage is really a portable garage or carport. More durable than a tarp cover and made of heavy duty aluminum and steel tube frames a backyard portable shed or carport is ideal for winter storage or keeping a motorcycle safe from seasonal rain and intense UV sunlight in the summer. Obtainable in a multitude of sizes and shapes, outdoor portable garages and carports offer serious long-term protection for motorcycles and will keep your bike protected from rain along with other weather hazards including wind, hail and sleet.
If you cannot afford a transportable garage and wish a little more protection than simply a poly tarp, get a durable motorcycle pocket. Cycle pockets, or bags, are made from high quality polyethylene materials and therefore are made to eliminate moisture, dust and condensation by forming a safe and secure pocket around the bike. Unlike a tarp that simply rests on the motorcycle a cycle pocket allows for more room under the shelter so air can flow through preventing mildew. With any of these sto
